I don’t know if there are enough ways or words to express the gratitude I have for Casey. I can really only share the ways in which she has changed my life. When we first met, I signed on to the video call not knowing what to expect. I had no reason to trust “this stranger.” I was confused and frustrated about everything. She asked me a question I’ve never heard before in my life “What if we got to know you and understand who you are?” I could not even comprehend what that meant. I had no idea who I was, but something told me that she might be able to help.

Casey made me feel safe. I didn’t know what safety was. Throughout the weeks, months and now years of working with her she showed me, through the ways in which she showed up. She would say “All of you is welcome” and to this day I trust that. She created a space for me to be me. For the first time in my life I felt heard. I understood what it meant to feel seen. As I grow and evolve—and even change—she continues to hear and see me. I have learned that I am someone who cares so much about everything. I discovered I am brave, capable, gentle, kind, playful, curious, intelligent, wise, and powerful (and sometimes I’m even humble). I’m stubborn. I’m critical. I fail often. I give up sometimes too. I am imperfect and messy. I’m a whole human being. I see that now. I love that now. And I know that all of that is welcome and that I am safe.

To know someone with as much depth, wisdom, humility, kindness, and love that Casey has, is genuinely one of the greatest blessings of my life. It has been so special to experience the way that she cares. I would not be the person that I am today without Casey. I hope that more people get to experience the gratitude that comes from the magic of crossing paths with a soul as special as hers.
